Avoid summer tragedy, practice water safety


Drowning is one of the leading causes of death for children.  Every year in Canada, 60 children drown and 140 are sent to hospital.  Children that survive a near-drowning can have both physical and emotional after-effects.

  • Learn to swim
  • Use a personal flotation device
  • Close supervision
  • Barriers
  • Use a buddy system
  • Don’t drink alchohol

Think safety around water!
